River Steamer Meets With
Accident Near Thirty
Mile.

The Crack Flyer of the White Pass
& Yukon Punches a Hole In
Her Side and Is Forced to Put
Back to White Horse For Repairs.

It was learned at the company's office
yesterday afternoon that the steamer
Bailey, on her way to Dawson, met
with a mishap in Thirty-mile river
which will disable her to the extent
that all passengers and freight were
transferred to another boat and sent
to their destination. The Bailey, it appears,
struck a rock, knocking a hole
in her side, and made things look serious
for awhile. The steamer was
brought back to White Horse, where
it will undergo a thorough repairing
and again take up the run so suddenly
brought to a stop.
