ATTEMPT AT BRIBERY LEADS TO FINE OF $25

Attempting to bribe a member of the Richmond police department cost Frank Yavroglon, thirty-two years old, $25 in police court Monday. Yavroglon, who is a native of Turkey, gave Sergeant J. V. Ryan $2 to refrain from reporting him for selling soft drinks on Sunday at his place of business, 922 North Twenty-ninth street. Ryan held the bill until the hearing as evidence. The Turk was also assessed $10 for Sunday selling.

Other Sunday sellers who received fines in police court Monday were J. C. Hagan, 216 West Baker street, and James Harris, 310 North Seventh street.

The cases of J. A. King, charged with dispensing soft drinks without a license, and Misses Laurie Holladay and Ethel Felt, charged with working on Sunday, were continued until July 25th.
