The following character of the notorious Kremer, is from the United States Gazette, which, it will be remembered, is published in the metropolis of the state he represents, and is doubtless well qualified to draw a faithful picture:
"Mr. Kremer is known among his friends for an unlettered, scheming politician, upon a small scale; one, who will occupy the bar-room of an ale-house, or the counter of his own shop, for half a day, in drilling dependent debtors, or winning those who would gladly become so. to the schemes of his head. which are never beyond that of some office for himself, a sort of negative wickedness."
