Set Action On Stadium Bias

Dr. A. L. Davis, who last week wrote the Board of Education protesting exclusion of Negro high school teams from Grady and Cheney stadiums and calling attention to the shortcomings of the facilities presently used for Negro prep athletics, reported that definite changes will be made following a "very encouraging conference with a school official."

Davis told the Inquirer that a committee composed of himself, Dr. J. B. Ellison, Jesse Hill, Jr., Hubert Jackson, John Gibson and Albert Thompson has begun direct negotiations with school authorities.

Prospects are promising, Davis said, that the scheduling of Negro athletic activities will be further revised and that Negro high school students will participate at Cheney within the near future and possibly at Grady.
