NEW PROBLEMS FOR U. S.

GENEVA, Nov. 4.—A new problem for the United States in connection with the Ethiopian war was raised Saturday when the League of Nations subcommittee on economic sanctions agreed to place additional products on the list of goods banned from Italy, including petroleum, coal, iron and steel. If the general committee approves, soundings probably will be made in Washington and Berlin to determine whether the United States and Germany would follow in the League's footsteps in refraining from permitting exports to Italy.
