Engagement—The directors of the Newcastle district school authorized the principal of that institution, Mr. Jar. Hill, to engage the services of some proper person to act as assistant teacher. Mr. Hill, while in town yesterday, engaged Miss Lime Penfield, who will at once enter upon the discharge of her new duties. Miss Penfield is young lady of liberal education and accomplishments and a better selection could not have been made. We congratulate the parents of Newcastle in the good fortune they have had in the selection of teachers for their children.
