The Boy and Girl scouts of Bethel AME church are observing National bicycle safety week March 2-8. On Friday the 7th, 4:30 p.m. Chief of Police Department of Warren, Jessie Willis will address the Scouts. A film will be shown in connection with the program. All children of the community with bikes are cordially invited to attend.
J. M. Watkins, pastor of Bethel and Promotional director is in charge of the program.
[This] month's project are, Shirley Ann Young, Addie B. Perkins, Hughie James Murray, Reginald Collins, Sandra E. Jones, Debra Elaine Vines, Linda Sue Graham, Delores Standberry, Reginald F. Russell and Charlene M. Black.
Pupils who made the scholarship honor roll are, Charlene M. Black and John Alvin Hudson.
Pupils who have a perfect attendance record for this period are, Bertram W. Butler, Arthur Crane, Joe Thomas Dickerson, James Hendricks, Terry Hendricks, Robert Nelson, Reginald F. Russell, Larry Williams, Charlene M. Black, Ella Mae Marks and Kay Frances Toombs.
