Full Text

I feel it my duty to say something of the kind visitation of God to us. We feel thankful, that while the brethren of the northeast are receiving the refreshing showers of Divine grace, we are not forgotten of the Lord. There seems to be a pretty general good feeling among our people. I held a two days' meeting on the 27th and 28th of June, at brother S. Marley's, in connection with brother J. Hughes, of Warren circuit, where the Lord was pleased to meet with us in the power of his Holy Spirit. There was truly a trembling among the dry bones. While some were weeping and crying for mercy, others were praising God for redeeming love. Two professed to have found peace with God, who hath said, "Come unto me all ye that are heavy laden, and ye shall find rest to your souls."

At the close of our meeting 18 had joined on probation, and 2 by letter from Nashville, Tenn. We feel much encouraged. Nine have joined since. The work is evidently going on. O may it increase. We have prayed and wept between the porch and the altar for our bleeding Zion. O that God would more abundantly bless our labors for the good of this people, that when we part in time we may meet in our Father's kingdom, where toiling and parting are no more.

A. N. Holcomb.
