General Election.
We have received complete returns from 57 counties, which gives a small majority in favor of Adair. Returns from 10 counties are yet to be heard from. The Sheriffs meet this day in Frankfort, to compare the returns from the several counties.
WM. T. Barry, will no doubt be elected Lieutenant Governor by a majority of between 6 and 7000 or more.
John Daveiss, Esq. of Daviess county, is elected to Congress in the 5th Congressional District, instead of Col. New, as stated in our last.
