Marines Host To Conn. U.

STORRS, Conn.—A traveling squad of 22 baseball players, Coach J. Orlean Christian, assistant coach Paul White and manager David Peterson of the University of Connecticut left the Storrs campus early Monday morning for a 1,700 mile trip and five practice games.
The first stop will be at West Point, New York, where the Huskies will meet Army.
Following the Army game, the Huskies will travel to North Carolina to play four games with the Marines. The first stop will be at Cherry Point for a two game series on Wednesday and Thursday Both of these games will start at 3 p.m.
The next two days Friday and Saturday, the Huskies will meet the Marine Corps Champs of 1951, Camp Lejeune, first in a night game at 8 p.m. and then in a Saturday afternoon game at 1:30 p.m.
