Franckfort on the Oder, Nov. 16. The Corps of Prussian Troops under the Orders of General Schenckendorff, having been joined near Alternwalde by that of General Platen, the latter immediately marched towards Stargard, with a View of dislodging from thence the Corps of Russians commanded by General Berg; but this last did not think it proper to wait for him, and therefore retreated at his Approach in Haste towards the Army of Count Romanzow. It is pretended that M. Platen is since advanced very near Colberg: Thus in all Appearance he will make Some new Attempt to oblige the Enemy to withdraw from before that Place, which still continues to make a good Defence.
