A Rail Road Dinner was given at Natchez on the 25th ult. at which Gen. Hayne, of South Carolina, was present and made a brilliant speech. The following toast was sent by a lady, and drank with great enthusiasm by the diners.

"The Marriage of the Waters.—By the exertions of the President of the Rail Road Company, by the act of the Legislature, and by the acceptance of the Company this day, a marriage has been contracted between the ancient and wealthy 'Fathers of Waters.' and the amiable and lovely Pearl River. What God shall join together, let not man put asunder!'

The Courier says the illumination was splendid and the joy general on account of the favorable prospects opened by the rail road.
