The Water Propositions.—A report has been current in town during the past few days, that the object of Mr. Marsh, in making a proposition to supply the town with water, was to injure the property of the Nevada Water Co., and to force them to sell their works below the real value. In view of this report, Mr. Marsh wishes us to state that he is ready at any moment to withdraw his proposition, provided the Water Co. will amend their proposition and make it as advantageous to the town as his own; he further offers to give the Company every facility for procuring water from the South Yuba Canal, and at the same rates which he would pay himself.
