William S. Bonnifield clarifies in response to Mr. Dunn's card that Mr. Anderson did not intend to accuse the county clerk of unfairness in printing the election ticket, but rather to correct a false report about his party loyalty and explain the omission of 'Silver party' due to nomination certificate issues and lack of a county convention.

Referring to Mr. Dunn's card in the Silver State of Nov. 3d, I wish to assure him that Mr. Anderson did not intend to impute to the clerk the least unfairness in printing the county ticket. He merely wished to correct the false report that he is not a loyal member of the Silver party and to explain that the clerk had not printed the words "Silver party" opposite Mr. Anderson's name on the ticket, for the reason that his certificate of nomination did not state any party, and that the reason the certificate did not state any party was because prominent attorneys had informed him it was not necessary to do so, whereas in this case, there was no county convention of the Silver party. But it was not the intention in Mr. Anderson's card to cast any reflection whatever on the clerk.
WM. S. BONNIFIELD.

Main Argument
mr. anderson's card was not intended to reflect unfairly on the clerk but to correct a false report of disloyalty to the silver party and explain the omission of party designation on the nomination certificate due to legal advice and absence of a county convention.
