KISER'S SLAYER JAILED.

The Murderer Taken to Atlanta to Save Him From Lynching.

Atlanta, Ga., Oct. 22.-Walter Cook, the negro who killed young Frank Kiser near Fairburn, was captured to-day. The negro confessed having waylaid young Kiser and knocked him in the head with an ax. His object was robbery. Cook was brought to Atlanta to-night and placed in Fulton county jail to prevent him from being lynched by the citizens of Campbell county. Public feeling was very much wrought up there, and but for the prompt action of the sheriff the negro would probably now be dangling at the end of a limb.
