First Airship Station
SAN FRANCISCO, Feb. 23.—Visalia almost exactly half way between San Francisco and Los Angeles on an air line, is the first city in California to be registered in a chain of aircraft stations now being selected by the Aero Club of New York.
A committee headed by Rear Admiral Robert E. Peary, with the co-operation of the army, the navy and the weather bureau, is working out a permanent list to be kept on file in aviation centers here and abroad, of safe and convenient landing places.
By landing on approved stations aviators may avoid danger to others and suits for damages against themselves.
