BRASS BUTTONS A TERROR.
Negro Drops Dead When Suddenly Confronted by a Policeman.
Atlanta, Ga., June 16.-Brass buttons have been known to work great havoc before, but that was generally when they had a military commission behind them and the object of attack was the fair sex.
To-day the record was broken. Policeman Coogler entered an alley and confronted two negroes. One of them immediately threw up his hands and expired.
The cause is said to have been heart failure aggravated by the fright that the police uniform sometimes inspires in the breast of the average African.
