Full Text

Runaway-Smashup—Yesterday evening the hired man of Dr. Reeve was out with the Doctor's horse and buggy, and had a little boy with him in the buggy. In driving around they came to a railroad crossing about the time a train was about to pass. The horse was stopped until the train should go by. While waiting the horse became frightened, and suddenly wheeling around upset the buggy and threw its occupants to the ground, and then dashed off at the top of his speed down Sixth street, smashing the buggy and disengaging himself from it, on he went till he brought up at the stable door. Nobody hurt; but there was a horse awfully scared and a buggy badly smashed.
