Full Text

Times at Murrayville.

The Belknap Sun, speaking of Curry, or Murrayville, in the Coeur d'Alenes, says: While the town exhibits a fair amount of life, business is almost at a standstill. A few merchants are satisfied with what they are doing, but the majority are groaning under the weight of a general dullness and the lack of money.

Many men are idle and roam the hills in quest of work, but it cannot be found. The market is overdone, and all those who can get away are walking out with their blankets on their backs. Faith in the mines however, is not destroyed. The belief is general that the camp will be better this fall and next year. The trying time is the present, and those who can live through may reap a rich harvest.
