CITY PARK VS. CITIZENS' PARK.

In connection with the matter of the parking place being made ready for the reception of the Federal Transport corps, the News referred to it last Sunday as the "City Park."

The Ely Record of current issue speaks of the project as "Citizens' Park."

The News begs leave to stand corrected, as it is a fact that enterprise and generosity of individual citizens has provided the funds to make the park a thing of beauty and a joy forever, for the autoists of this and succeeding seasons.

But all the same, why not "City Park?"

Now that private means have assured the park, why does not the city get busy and maintain the same as a well-merited civic enterprise that is nothing more nor less than an asset, as it induces visitors and patronage to the general and financial good of the community.
