Plans are being completed for the second annual Kent County Horse Show to be held near Chestertown, Md., August 26. It will be given under auspices of the Kent County Horse Show Association and is expected to attract entries from all sections of the Del-Mar-Va Peninsula as well as from Washington, Wilmington and Philadelphia.
The colorful affair will have its setting on the large farm of William Thompson, two miles from Chestertown, Md., and on the main highway leading from Tolchester Beach.
Suitable accommodations are being provided both for the entrants and their horses.
Louis McLane and Sidney Watters, both prominent horsemen and experienced judges of horse flesh, of Baltimore, with Dr. G. Allan Jarman, of Chestertown, former State Veterinarian of Maryland will be the judges. Entries have already been received from Baltimore and Philadelphia in events open to outsiders.
Kent and Queen Anne's horses will be admitted to all events. The show is held primarily for the twin purpose of sustaining interest in well-bred horses on the Peninsula and to aid some deserving charity.
This year the gate will go to the Kent County Health Association.
