LOOMSBORO, GA. SNS

A mob formed a posse tracked down and lynched Negro farm worker George Hill, who shot the white man and killed the white woman, actually wounding her face last Friday.

The lynched man was George Hill, a tenant on the farm of Sam Gilbert, white, who was shot and his wife killed.

According to Sheriff George Hatcher there was no racial ill will involved in the affair. He said that the posse, led by unidentified officers shot and killed Hill when he allegedly resisted arrest by firing on the possemen.
