Radio Station WRFD will broadcast direct from the Madison County Fair grounds this year as they have done for the past three years. Two broadcasts will be made on Sunday and three on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.
The broadcast times will be as follows: Sunday, August 17, 11:30-12 and 2:45-3:00 p.m.; Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, 2:10-2:30 p.m., 3:30-3:45 p.m. and 4:10-4:30 p.m.
These broadcasts are being sponsored by the Madison County Agricultural Society and the Madison Farm Bureau Co-op.
The broadcast programs will feature interviews with 4-H and F.F.A. winners, representatives of Soil Conservation Service, Farmer's Home Administration, County Granges, Fair Board, and Farm Bureau. Heats of some of the harness races will also be broadcast.
Musical numbers, furnished by local talent, will be featured on these programs. Any individual or group who wishes to sing or play musical instruments for these programs should contact Owen Ackerman at the Madison Farm Bureau Co-op., 254 West High Street, Phone 726.
