Attorney General George N. Hayes today reminded Alaskans that a Federal Maritime Commission examiner will take testimony on proposed freight rate increases on the Yukon River during a three-day hearing at Fairbanks November 28-30.

The hearing involves a proposal by Northern Commercial Company to increase freight rates on the Yukon River by 10 per cent and has been combined with the Maritime Commission for hearings which a similar increase asked by Bie llesica Steamship Company.

Both increases are opposed by the State of Alaska.
