MR. EDITOR,
We understand that at the meeting to nominate a Candidate for District No. 1, many of the towns were not represented, and that many of the persons who voted at that meeting, acted without any authority from the towns which they pretended to represent. We do not intend at present to say ought against Judge Burgin; but we do say that his nomination was not a fair expression of the voice of the people, and does not meet the approbation of a majority of the voters in this part of the District.
It has been the practice in this District to support a person the second year, if he has done well the first, and as nothing has appeared against the Hon. Ezekiel Morrill, we think it our duty to support him the present year. By giving his name a place in your paper, as Candidate for Senator for District No. 4, you will confer a favor on many of your subscribers.

Main Argument
the nomination of judge burgin for district no. 1 was unfair due to lack of representation; hon. ezekiel morrill should be supported for re-election as senator for district no. 4 based on his prior performance.
