Owapi Opens Sunday
Ninety-six Boy Scouts from the Missouri Valley council were checking over their duffel bags this week in preparation for the opening of the summer camping season at Chan Owapi, Wildwood Lake camp, Sunday.
Last minute preparations at the camp were nearing completion, Paul A. Netland, Scout executive and camp supervisor said.
Camp supervisors who will serve this summer are: Phillip Constans, water front director; Lynn Byrne, athletic director; Arnold Anderson, nature study; Russell Saxvik, activities director; and Robert Mote, handicraft director.
Junior officers appointed thus far are Rufus Lumry, nature study; Hugo Renden, handicraft; Warren Kraft, waterfront; and William Jacobson, tent officer.
Sidney Swanson will be head chef and will be assisted by Bill McDonald. Both are of Bismarck.
