The highest bid was that of J. H. Forbes & company, of Payette, whose figures for the complete structure were $9425, or without the extra span, $7425.
The bridge will be moved about 1200 feet up the river from its present location, to a point in the river channel that is believed permanent. At the present time it stands high and dry upon the land, the river having changed its course since the bridge was erected. When built it was financed by the land owners in the section with the aid of the county. It has been several years since the river changed its course, rendering the bridge useless, and during that time the residents of the nearby communities have been greatly inconvenienced.—Pocatello Tribune.
