Safe Pilferers Face Court Trial

PHOENIX, Jan. 7. (UP)—Two Mesa men today faced arraignment in superior court on grand theft charges for their novel theft of a 250 pound safe containing more than $4,000 in jewels, money and other valuables.

Winton G. Carter and Walter Parvin waived preliminary hearing in justice court and were jailed pending arraignment when they failed to post $2,000 bond each.

The men were accused of stealing the 250 pound safe from the office of J. A. Bailie of Mesa in broad daylight a week ago. The stolen safe and most of its contents have been recovered.
