In alluding to the loss of the railroad bridge at Kendall's Mills, the Waterville Mail states that various rumors are afloat in regard to the intentions of the Railroad company under the present circumstances, the most reasonable of which is, perhaps, that the bridge at Fairfield and Waterville will both be abandoned, and that an iron bridge across the river at the College Narrows will be substituted—the road to be extended on the east bank of the river, up from Ticonic Falls, and down from a point opposite Fairfield Village to meet it.
