Election of Circuit Attorney.-

As some interest has been felt in the result of the election for Circuit Attorney, we will give a statement of the majorities in the different counties: Pike gave Clay 52 majority, and Buckner 106 majority; Ralls gave Clay 100, and Scott 96 majority; Montgomery gave Clay 127 and Scott 188 majority; Warren gave Clay 23, and Buckner 37 majority; Lincoln gave Polk 105, and Buckner 171 majority; St. Charles gave Polk 23, and Buckner 96 majority. Thus it will be seen that there is a whig majority in the Circuit of 174 votes: still, Buckner notwithstanding the strong efforts made in certain quarters, has overcome this obstacle in the way of his election, and run ahead of his opponent, to the tune of 126 majority in the circuit. He has run ahead of his party in every county except Pike, though no ordinary efforts were made to defeat him, by raising the cry that he was too warm a Democrat.
