OAKLAND DISTRICT RELIEF COMMITTEE MAKES REPORT
Second Return Shows 11 Families Having Been Assisted

Since the last report, December 3, the Oakland district relief committee has contributed to eleven new families making a total of fifteen families, or a total of eighty-eight persons helped with food and clothing. One of these families has been helped on two different times.

Four families have secured work for the present. Work to the amount of sixteen dollars for several men was also secured.

It takes an enormous amount of food and clothing and the committee has been working faithfully stated A. D. Naylor, a committee member. At this time the committee needs potatoes, buckwheat flour, canned goods, and fat meat.

Since the last meeting the committee has received contributions from the following:

Mrs. J. D. Darby and Miss Grace Jones, mens' and boys' clothing; H. L. Jones, 2 suits of clothes and shoes for men; Henry C. Moon, large pan of pudding; Townshend Naylor, box of clothing and shoes; Mrs. Nelle Boardman, boy's clothing and shoes; Max Jarboe, 4 new shirts for men, 1 overcoat and cap; Masonic Order, check for $30.00; Mrs. James Compton, potatoes and clothing; Mrs. T. W. Casteel, 1 bed comfort; Mrs. Sam Aronhalt, 1 bundle underwear; Mrs. Arthur Lawton, 2 cans peas; Mrs. B. B. Nethkin, 1 quart preserves; Mrs. Lloyd Shaffer, $1.00.

In addition to the supplies which were donated the relief committee has bought and distributed twelve sacks of flour, 100 lbs. of rice, 100 lbs. corn meal, beans, meat, sugar and various vegetables.
