MR. R. R. PERRY NAMED COMMITTEE CHAIRMAN
Lincoln Farm Association Asks That Work For the Movement Be Pushed.
Mr. R. R. Perry has been named as chairman of the Winchester Committee of the Lincoln Birthplace Memorial. The letter of appointment is as follows:
Mr. R.R. Perry, Winchester, Ky.:
Dear Sir:—Mr. H. G. Garrett has notified me of your selection as chairman of the Winchester committee of the Lincoln Birthplace Memorial. The literature for the city and town committees in Kentucky will be ready very shortly and will be promptly forwarded. Mr. Andrew Cowan is chairman of the Kentucky State Committee and has expressed the most cordial interest in Kentucky's part in this movement.
I want to say that the literature and plans have been so arranged that no large sacrifice of time may be entailed in putting the matter into effect. As a public-spirited citizen, know you will be glad to hear that the cities and towns of 27 States have joined in this movement. It is an inspiration to all of us who are giving our time and thought to it and on behalf of the National Executive Committee and the Board of Trustees I want to express the most sincere appreciation of your co-operation
A circular is enclosed which gives briefly an outline of what has been done and what remains to be done
As soon as the committee literature is ready, I will see that it is forwarded.
Faithfully yours,
THE LINCOLN FARM ASSOCIATION.
