M. E. Sunday School.
We had the pleasure of visiting this school recently and passed a very pleasant hour listening to the exercises. The same interest was manifested that has been for years and years, and with the Bible, the more we read it the more we enjoy the perusal of the sacred pages - so with the Sunday school, the more one attends the exercises the more they like to witness the interesting occasion. This is so with all classes who make it a point to meet with the Sunday school; for, there is a something about these gatherings of the children each Sabbath day, that speaks to the inner heart, and instead of the exercises being monotonous and dull, there is always something new that is pleasant and attractive. Hence the attendance at all the schools is unusually large.
We understand that the officers of this school contemplate giving another excursion early in May, in keeping with the one last year. We can only say, that if the occasion will be as delightful as the one last season, the parties concerned will long have cause to remember it with pleasure. The children will be delighted to know of the pleasure that is in prospect for them, and will count the days intervening with no little curiosity. We presume all the churches will provide for an excursion for the schools, or inaugurate other plans for a picnic, some time during the month of May.
