The Democrat this week received from the Milne Tours company, under whose chaperonage Miss Georgia Deaton, winner of the Democrat's Oriental trip contest, and five other Montana girls are taking a trip to Honolulu and Japan, several pictures of the young ladies. Friends of Miss Deaton expect to receive a letter from her, written at Honolulu, within the next three or four days.
The party, of which the Democrat's pretty representative is a member, sailed on the steam ship Toyo Kisen Kaisha from the Golden Gate harbor on the 11th. This ship is considered the finest passenger steamer plying between the United States and the Orient. The party got to Honolulu in time to see the big American fleet which was anchored there for a few days while enroute to Japan. The young ladies are doubtless having a most delightful time and are now nearing the shores of that Yankee-land of the old world, Japan.
