WILLIAMSBURG, Jan. 22.

We are credibly informed that six wagons went over James river, on the ice, from Warwick to the opposite shore, some time last week. Several people in the course of this week crossed the river between Hog Island, Mulberry Island, and Jamestown, upon the ice. A great many goods have been brought from on board a sloop and a brig which are sunk on the Middle Ground below Martins Hundred, about a mile and a half from the shore, by persons who ventured upon the ice, for which we are told the owners paid them ten per cent. for their trouble. The following vessels are arrived at a safe port with valuable cargoes, viz. The Industry, Capt. Rogers; Peggy Pleasants, Captain Williamson; and the Race Horse, Captain Cook, all from the West Indies.
