Stanfield Named To Farm Bureau Post Recently
COLUMBUS—D. R. Stanfield, 115 University St., Westerville, has been named assistant executive secretary, Ohio Farm Bureau Federation, it was announced here today by John W. Sims, exec. secretary, following a session of the farm organization's board of trustees.
In the announcement, Sims stated that Stanfield will assume his duties at the newly-created post immediately, and will continue to carry the responsibilities of director of organization, the post Stanfield was named to in July, 1952.
As director of organization, Stanfield is responsible for the Federation's field service, public affairs department, women's activities, and statewide membership program. At his new post, he will assist Sims in supervising the entire Federation program.
Stanfield began with the Farm Bureau in 1944, as an assistant in the legislative department. He became director of legislation in 1947. Stanfield is generally credited with setting up the Bureau's extensive local and state legislative-action "grassroots" program.
