Kidney disorders are among the greatest causes of death in the United States. Childhood nephrosis alone, one of the most common chronic disorders among children, kills one-half of all its victims. And this death rate will continue high until medical science solves the many mysteries of such ailments.
"It is our aim," Mrs. Sharp said, "to place a message of utmost importance into the hands of every family in southwest Columbus, and we need the help of every public-spirited citizen for as little or as much time as he or she can spare.
"Research is needed urgently until cures have been found. Our goal this year is $10,000, and with 400 volunteers to join our members, we are confident of success."
