We attended the Commencement at Providence, and were much gratified by the performances. They were highly creditable to the young gentlemen, both as it regards composition and delivery. The oration on Religious Principle, by Stephen P. Hill, of Salem, was a most excellent production, and we have heard the highest commendation bestowed upon it, by competent judges. The College at Providence is evidently in a flourishing condition—many improvements having taken place in the course of study and in discipline, under the present efficient government.
