WHITERIVER - Criminal Investigators from eight Indian Agencies throughout Arizona were guests of the Fort Apache Indian Agency during a 3-day pistol instructors course held here June 28 to 30th.
Lee Wardle, Criminal Investigator for the Fort Apache Agency, was host for the visiting officials during the session which included classroom lectures and course firing at the Fort Apache Gun Club rifle range.
INSTRUCTOR FOR the 3-day meet was Randolph Aros, Criminal Investigator for the Papago Indian Reservation. Wardle reported the officials fired two courses for record.
One was the Camp Perry course consisting of 30 rounds fired from 25 yards at a bull's-eye target. The other was the Practical Pistol course in which a total of 50 rounds were fired from various positions with distances ranging from 7 1/2 yards to 60 yards.
Participating investigators in addition to Wardle and Aros were:
GRANT MAGLEBY, Phoenix Area Office; Jerry Inman, Pima Indian Agency; Omer Whittaker, Salt River Indian Agency; Walter Jordan Jr., San Carlos Indian Agency; Charles F. Allen, Uintah and Ouray Indian Agency; Charles J. Carter, Hopi Indian Agency and Robert H. Jones, Colorado River Indian Agency.
