BOB JOYCE TO
PHILADELPHIA

OAKLAND, Sept. 10. (UP) — The Oakland club of the Pacific coast baseball league today announced the sale of Bob Joyce, star right-handed pitcher to the Philadelphia Athletics.

Vic Devincenzi, club president, said the sale price was over the draft price of $7500 and included one player in exchange.

Joyce was discarded two years ago by Los Angeles but came back from the bush leagues this year to win 18 games, seven of them shutouts, for the last place Oaks.
