By a vessel from Annapolis Royal, (Nova Scotia) we learn, that on the 28th ult. the barn of Mr. John Hicks, of that place, (formerly a printer in this town) was discovered to be on fire, which was entirely consumed, together with about two hundred bushels of grain, six horses, &c. In the barn was a store room containing all his furniture, amounting by the lowest computation to between 1500 and 2000 pounds, which was likewise consumed. The perpetrator, who plundered the store and then set it on fire to avoid discovery, appears to be three white people and three negroes, who were apprehended for trial.
