We hear from Strathblane, in Scotland, that a few Days ago a young Gentleman in that Parish, having observed a Hare deliberately cropping his new bearded Barley, was induced to go home for his Gun, and on his Return he shot the Hare dead; but was afterwards sorry for it, as he observed her big with Young. He ordered his Servant immediately to skin her. The Servant did so, opened her, and took alive out of the Mother two young Ones, one of which soon died. A Cat in the House having kittened the Night before, the surviving Hare was placed among the Kittens, which the Cat adopted; and the Cat, Kittens, and Hare, live together in the greatest Harmony, and are in a thriving Condition.
