Watertown Congregation Has No Further Use for the Clergyman.
Watertown, N. Y., April 3.-By a vote of 28 to 1, at an exciting session, the congregation of the Presbyterian church at Chaumont, this county, last evening, it was decided to ask Rev. William Cleveland, brother of President Cleveland, to tender his resignation. It is reported that politics has been the disturbing element, although Mr. Cleveland took no part in politics. Mr. Cleveland will appeal to the Presbyterian synod.
