THE ROBBER TARIFF MUST GO.

The special protected interests are adopting their old scheme of threatening to remove their industries to Europe in the event they are not given so-called "tariff protection".
A New Haven sewing machine manufacturer is the latest one to announce his intention of going abroad to do business.
Well, let him move if he wants to. There is no law against it. But it is safe to say he will not go. If he does, he will return a poorer but wiser man.
The blustering of the tariff-protected barons is quite in keeping with their records as exploiters of the American consumers, but it will have no effect upon the democratic administration, nor on congress.
The robber tariff must go.
The democratic party has pledged itself to relieve the consumers of the end of the heavy tribute they have been paying to the special protected interests. These pledges must be kept.
President Wilson has said so and the democrats in congress will do the rest.
