Morris Brown Gets Ready To Observe 60th Anniversary

Morris Brown College has been for almost 60 years, the pride of the AME's Georgia.

President W. A. Fountain Jr., announced yesterday that plans have been completed for the annual celebration begins Tuesday night with a special program by the Social Science Club. Many notables will speak.

Among the group of members of the Alumni Association the following will appear on the program. Revs. W. W. Stephson of Waycross, Ga.: J S. Bryan, President of the Connectional Council, Columbus, Ga.: F. W. Bagsby, Savannah: G. B. Hannah, Augusta Mr. J. H. Edge, Macon, D. W. Stephens, Savannah; T. J. Davis, A. A. Hightower, W. . Wilkes, D. T. Babcock, all of Atlanta; and W. D. Johnson Jr., Plains, Ga.

Bishop Frank Madison Reid of the 7th and 15th Episcopal districts will deliver the Founder's Day message. Immediately following the Founder's Day address, every department of the college will report results of the student-rally contest, now in progress. Thirty-nine presiding elders gathered from all areas of Georgia, will make reports. The observance will close with a concert, given under the auspices of the Music Department of the College.
