XENIA. Lieut. Col. David H. Bidde, U. S. A., has announced that he would recommend the retention of the R. O. T. C. unit at Wilberforce university following an inspection of the unit. The inspection was held for the purpose of determining whether or not the R. O. T. C. would be retained by the war department.

Lieut. Col. Bidde said that he had found a great improvement both in the R. O. T. C. and in the general attitude accorded it by the school since the last inspection. He also said that further action would depend upon the inspection to be held next spring. There were 144 men in the ranks when the inspection took place.

Lieut. Col. Bidde praised the R. O. T. C. band at the university and said it was one of the best bands he had heard in his inspections of military units over the country.
