When several among nearly 300 spectators who filled the courtroom made as if to join in the melee, Federal Judge George A. Welsh, sent for five deputy marshals, several court clerks and agents of other government departments to restore order.
The commotion took place at the hearing in litigation between Bishop David H. Sims and Bishop Sherman L. Greene.
