Saturday last his Majesty was pleased to declare his Royal Highness Prince William, to be Duke of Lancaster.

We are assured that a patent is now preparing for the GREAT SEAL, to create his Royal Highness Prince WILLIAM, second brother to his Majesty, Duke of Lancaster. It is remarkable there has not been a Duke of Lancaster since the reign of king Richard II. the last who bore that title being Henry Duke of Lancaster and Hereford, son of the famous John of Gaunt, who was afterwards king of England, by the name of Henry IV.
