Marine Captain Is Armed Forces Day Project Head

Captain W. C. Walsh, USMC, Executive Officer for the Naval Base Marine Barracks, has been designated Local Project Officer for the 1955 Armed Forces Day celebration by Rear Admiral Harry H. Henderson.

Armed Forces Day this year will be observed on Saturday, May 21.

All naval activities in the Key West area, afloat and ashore, will participate in cooperation with local civilian organizations.

A meeting of representatives from the various Naval Base activities was held today in the office of Chief of Staff Captain C. L. Murphy to initiate preliminary planning.
