NavSta Toyland Open
For Early Shoppers

Though the sound of sleighbells and the hearty laugh of the round gent in the bright red suit are better than three months away, the Navy Exchange Toyland is preparing early for the Christmas toy rush.

This year's Toyland, which opened Tuesday in Building 36, one block east of the main exchange in Building 64, will feature the largest variety of toys ever assembled, according to LCDR E. F. Bailey, Navy Exchange Officer.

The early opening of Toyland this year will, says LCDR Bailey, enable buyers to take advantage of savings made possible by the exchange in early volume purchases.

Hours of operation this year will be the same as those of the main exchange, 0900-1700 Tuesday through Friday, and 0900-1300 on Saturdays. Both Toyland and the main exchange are closed on Sundays and Mondays.

EARLY SHOPPER Douglas Pasquale, is among first shoppers at Tuesday's opening of the Navy Exchange Toyland. Saleslady Joan Seveney is loaded down with plush animals examined by young Pasquale.
